Have you read Six of Crows yet? I read it when it first came out and have been obsessed ever since. Leigh Bardugo is an incredible author, and the characters and plots in the Grishaverse are so compelling. Obviously this is a popular opinion, as Netflix has already started working on an adaptation.

Reading Six of Crows opened my eyes to a genre of fantasy I had never considered: fantasy heists. There’s nothing like the thrill of following characters as they pull off a major theft, but it becomes even more exciting when there is an element of magic involved.
If you are a fan of the fantasy genre, or just love a good heist story, try one of these titles which meld the two into one enjoyable narrative.
Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
A diverse group of outcasts, each with their own unique skills, plot to infitrate a high-society part and steal an artifact that will change their lives. This book transports you to a magical world brimming with fully realized characters, clever riddles, and shocking twists. These second book in this series was just published in September and it was just as good.
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
Brandon Sanderson is a master of the fantasy genre and the Mistborn series is, without question, one of his best. This first book is a dramatic, fast-paced fantasy following a band of misfits plotting a dangerous heist to save the world from an evil dictator. A large, likable cast of characters, a unique blend of science and magic, and an atmospheric setting make this the perfect escape.
Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennet
In a city controlled by industrialized magic, a thief, a magical key (because why not?), and a police captain team up to stop an evil figure from complete domination. This is a highly inventive story blending sci-fi technology, magic, and adventure into a dramatic narrative.
Those are my top three picks for fantastic heists! What are your favorites in the genre? Find even more suggestions on my booklist here.
